evan rutter

Head of Baseball Operations, Pitching Prospect Program, Coach & Trainer 

Evan is a 2011 graduate of Klein High School in Klein, Texas. He was a starting third baseman, earning first team all-district honors as a Jr. and pitched as a Senior earning first team all-state honors. After high school, Evan attended Rice University under head coach Wayne Graham. He was a pitcher that unfortunately suffered an injury the 2nd week into his junior season missing all but the last game of the year. In that game, he was able to show an incredible comeback pitching a shut down 9th inning. Evan was forced to sit out his senior year while he completed his degree in Sports Management.

In the summers of 2012 and 2013 Evan played for the Brewster Whitecaps as part of the Cape Cod Collegiate League. He pitched 49 innings, struck out 53 and only walked 8 batters. Following his freshman summer, Evan was named one of the top prospects in the Cape Cod League by Perfect Game.

​

Evan also played summer ball in the California Collegiate League for the Neptune Beach Pearl in 2014 and 2015. He was named to the California Collegiate League All Star Team and was also named to the All-League Team by managers.

​

Evan enrolled at Tulane University in the Fall of 2015 where he was a pitcher on the Green Wave baseball team coached by David Pierce. In Spring of 2016 he suffered a UCL injury two weeks before the start of the season and underwent Tommy John surgery that Spring. During the 2017 season, Evan was named the Assistant Pitching Coach for Tulane. While coaching, he was able to complete his master's degree in Homeland Security.

Evan keeps baseball fun and truly loves the game. He is humble, honest and dedicated to helping train athletes and coach them to their full potential. Evan thrives seeing players improve to meet their goals and helps keep them grounded while keeping the game simple. 

​

Evan is Rapsodo hitting and pitching certified.

CODY Young

Assistant Coach & Trainer 

Cody is still developing as a ball player himself however he loves working with kids and sharing the knowledge he has in this sport.

 

Cody has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old and loves the game. He played all four years at Tomball High School and played 1st base, outfield and was a left-handed pitcher. Cody was awarded a full baseball scholarship to Kansas Wesleyan University after high school. Due to unforeseen health issues with a family member, Cody had to come home from college to help his family during these times.

 

Rivalry is excited for him to have this experience and the ability to work with us during these times and can't to cheer him on at KWU upon his return.

Coach & Trainer 

Jay graduated from Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas where he was a 2x First Team All-District and was MVP his Senior year. 

​

He attended Jarvis Christian University in Wood Country, TX. He has played three years of professional baseball playing with the Trinidad Triggers, San Rafael Pacifics and the Grand Prairie Air Hogs. 

​

Jay was a 3x First Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-American his senior year in college for hitting. He was also a 2x league MVP.

deleon boyd

Coach & Trainer

Deleon is a native from Spring, Texas and a 2010 graduate of Klein High School. Deleon played baseball for the Klein Bearkats for 4 years under Coach Barry Smith, where he was a pitcher, third baseman, and designated hitter. He was a member of the 2010 Klein team that blazed their way to the 2010 5A State Championship Tournament.

Deleon attended Prairie View A&M University on a baseball scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2014. As a member of the Prairie View A&M University Baseball team for 4 years, DeLeon was an integral part of the pitching squad. As a standout pitcher, DeLeon was named Freshman Baseball Athlete of the year in 2011 and helped the Panthers as they won the 2012 SWAC Championship as well as the 2013 SWAC Conference finalists.

TY Broussard

Coach & Trainer

Ty played College Basketball at Arlington Baptist University and graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's in Exercise Sports Science.

​

He fell in love with strength training and working out athletes of all sports to help them accomplish their goals & dreams. Ty believes that strength training can be the difference in an athletes success at whatever level they strive to compete in.

​

Ty will be leading the Rivalry Athlete Performance classes, small group, and private training to help athletes reach their full potential.
